Deep crimson with a full body and traces of mature fruit. Velvety structure due to light tannins. This Riserva must be aged for at least 24 months followed by a bottle aging of 3 months. Pairs with game and mature cheese. Tuscany = Sangiovese. This chameleon of a grape travels far and wide although Tuscany is its true home. It is defined by a sour-cherry tartness derived from reasonably high acidity. The body can change from medium to full.
Chianti is always made from at least 70% Sangiovese, and the Classico at least 80%. La Doc provides both styles - you're welcome!
